Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care within our Senior Living facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various healthcare settings, including assisted living, independent living, and memory care. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of nursing administration, management practices, and regulatory compliance to ensure the highest standards of patient care are met. Duties Oversee the daily operations of nursing services, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices and enhance patient outcomes. Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to promote professional growth. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Manage documentation review processes to ensure accuracy in medical records and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient patient data management and reporting. Conduct regular assessments of nursing practices and patient care quality, implementing improvements as necessary. Ensure proper training on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and shift management for all nursing staff. Maintain effective communication with residents' families regarding care plans and any changes in health status. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred. Proven experience in nursing management or supervisory roles within assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, or acute care settings. Strong knowledge of MDS (Minimum Data Set) processes and Medicare regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Proficient in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management. In-depth understanding of medical records management and documentation review practices. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times. Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, residents, and families.
