Director of Nursing (DON): Comfort Home Health, Kokomo, IN & FORT

As DON, this individual must exhibit the ability to work well in a team setting as well as be self-motivated; ensuring all quality measures are met. Critical thinking is essential to success as our process continues to improve based on changing standards set forth by state requirements.

QUALIFICATONS

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Indiana
• Required education: Associates Degree in Skilled Nursing / Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• One or more years in Hospital or Home Health
• Knowledgeable of Medicaid guidelines & documentation as pertains to home care preferred
• Responsible for coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals patient care as needed
• Requires excellent rapport, understanding, and communication with the patients and their family members
• Work cooperatively with other associates Job Responsibilities
• Supervise all employees
• Coordinate Supervisory Visits
• Direct Training initiative for paraprofessionals
• Clinical Orientation for new hires
• Probationary / Annual Evaluations
• Prospective candidate interviews
