Duties:

Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. Participate in developing, maintaining and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department. Assist the Director in determining the staffing needs of the nursing service department. Recommend to the Director the number and level of nursing personnel to be employed. Participate in developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling in-service training classes that provide instructions on "how to do the job," and ensure a well-educated nursing service department. Recommend to the Director the equipment and supply needs of the department. Ensure that an adequate stock level of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is maintained on premises at all times to adequately meet the needs of the resident. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information. Monitor nursing care to ensure that all residents are treated fairly, and with kindness, dignity, and respect. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Kansas (or compact state) RN or LPN license is required 1 year of ADON experience is preferred 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) Ability to learn and implement administrative and departmental policies and procedures and carry out job responsibilities in a professional, accurate and conscientious manner Ability to create and maintain a helpful, understanding and empathetic atmosphere toward the residents and staff Ability to handle confidential information exercise independent judgment and make decisions based on good nursing practice guidelines Apply Today!
