$75,000 - $85,000 per year Job Details - The Assistant Director of Nursing will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee day-to-day nursing operations, support clinical staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote a positive environment for both residents and employees. Responsibilities Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall management of nursing services and daily clinical operations Provide leadership, guidance, and support to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other members of the nursing team Help ensure residents receive appropriate, timely, and high-quality nursing care Monitor resident care plans, clinical documentation, and changes in condition Support staffing, scheduling, and appropriate nursing coverage Participate in the hiring, orientation, training, and development of nursing staff Promote adherence to facility policies and federal and state long-term care regulations Assist with quality assurance, performance improvement, infection prevention, and resident safety initiatives Participate in surveys, audits, and regulatory compliance activities Collaborate with physicians, providers, therapy, social services, and other members of the interdisciplinary team Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs and concerns Assist with investigating and resolving clinical or resident-care issues Serve as a clinical resource and provide hands-on leadership when needed Assume additional nursing leadership responsibilities in the Director of Nursing's absence Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or ability to obtain Previous nursing experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or a similar setting Previous supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of clinical standards, resident care, and long-term care regulations Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to effectively support and develop nursing staff Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care Director of Nursing will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee day-to-day nursing operations, support clinical staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote a positive environment for both residents and employees.
