Performs the selection, employment, development, control, and discharge of employees to meet the needs of the Company and the residents. Continuously reviews productivity and efficiency of staff and makes changes where needed. Participates in the orientation of staff members, in-service programs, and medical staff evaluations. Assures all staff and residents have appropriate health screenings/physicals (as required by state law) and TB tests. Assures the nurse registry has been checked on all medical personnel PRIOR to hire. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing the delivery of health care services by continually monitoring the operation of each service area and making changes as needed. Documents and maintains records of all resident procedures, instructions, observations, and progress per documentation guidelines. Responsible for implementing all operational policies and procedures. Assures the sound fiscal operation of the residence, including the timely, accurate, and comprehensive development of an annual operating and capital budget and its implementation. Negotiates professional contracts such as lawn care, pharmacy services, and food service. Assists in the strategic planning of both short-term and long-term goals. Ensures that funds are collected and expended according to Company guidelines and to the best advantage of the Company and residents in a timely manner. Prepares and presents periodic reports as required by regulatory agencies and/or Company owners. Ensures that Quality Assurance Standards are met. Ensures that all notifications to state and local agencies occur as required by law regarding transfers, discharges, or any other regulation requiring such notifications. Responsible for marketing Credo Senior Living locally and in the surrounding communities in a professional and positive manner. Authorizes in writing a responsible employee to act on behalf of the Director in his/her absence.
