Job Description

Create Meaningful Experiences. Lead with Purpose. Rosedale Green is a respected not-for-profit senior living and skilled nursing community dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through person-centered care, meaningful relationships, and vibrant community life. We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and organized Activity Director to lead our Life Enrichment program. This leadership position is responsible for creating engaging experiences that promote residents' physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive well-being while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who believes that quality of life extends beyond a calendar of activities and understands the importance of helping residents find purpose, connection, joy, and belonging. What You'll Do Develop, coordinate, and oversee a comprehensive activity and life enrichment program. Plan meaningful group activities, one-to-one visits, special events, outings, entertainment, and community partnerships. Conduct resident assessments and oversee activity-related care plans and documentation. Supervise, coach, schedule, and support Activity Department staff. Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers. Lead Resident Council meetings and ensure appropriate follow-up to resident concerns. Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, and other departments to enhance resident quality of life. Coordinate special events, celebrations, outings, educational programs, and family activities. Participate in QAPI, interdisciplinary meetings, and administrative meetings. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational requirements. Drive the facility bus for resident outings as needed. Why Join Rosedale Green? Preferred Qualifications Previous Activity Director experience. Long-term care or skilled nursing experience. Experience working with residents living with dementia. Supervisory or leadership experience. Experience coordinating volunteers and community partnerships. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Strong organizational and communication skills.
