This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with extensive knowledge of nursing administration, patient care, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a deep understanding of various care settings—including acute hospital behavioral or mental health facilities—and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered services. This position plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality nursing care, regulatory compliance, and effective team management. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the nursing staff across multiple departments. Develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans tailored to residents' needs while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards such as Medicare and HIPAA. Oversee the management of medical records and documentation review using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to ensure accuracy and compliance. Coordinate shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels, coverage, and smooth operational flow during all shifts. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to nursing practices, including HIPAA privacy rules and Medicare requirements. Provide leadership in staff training, development programs, and supervision to foster a high-performance team environment. Monitor quality assurance initiatives related to patient safety, infection control protocols, and overall care quality. Qualifications Valid nursing license with current registration; 3 years of Psychiatric nursing experience and 3 years management experience in acute hospital behavioral or mental health facilities is required. Extensive background in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health services, hospice care, or acute care settings. Proven management experience with supervising nursing teams; demonstrated leadership skills in a healthcare environment. Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and care planning processes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation review and medical records management. Knowledge of regulatory standards including HIPAA compliance and Medicare guidelines. Excellent organizational skills with experience in shift management and resource allocation. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to train staff on documentation procedures and clinical protocols.
