North Woods Village of Kalamazoo, Southwest Michigan's premier dedicated Memory Care Assisted Living community, is seeking a Director of Health and Wellness, a.k.a. Director of Nursing (DON), RN, to join its leadership team. At North Woods Village, having a passion for serving those with Alzheimer's Disease and dementia is the most important quality for our team and helps distinguish our Senior Living Community from others and ensures the best living experience for our residents and their families. The Director of Health and Wellness responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the residents' health services in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility Providing overall clinical leadership Overseeing the care provided to residents Conducting assessments and developing service plans Coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the resident's quality of life Supervising care staff, including interviewing, performance evaluations, training, assigning work schedules, developing performance improvement plans Providing education and training programs for care staff Participating in the development, implementation and enforcement of policies, procedures, and systems Assuring regulatory compliance Participating in Quality Assurance Program Adhering to the department's budgetary guidelines Communicating with physicians and family members Anticipating and addressing concerns regarding resident care
