Job Overview We are a family-owned business with fantastic staffing ratios for our nurses and our CNAs. We offer our nurses a 10-12 staffing ratio and our CNAs a 7-10 residents' ratio on both day and night shifts. We do this because our priority is to provide excellent care and achieve positive outcomes for all residents. We are JAHCO and CARF-accredited. Our administrator is a physician who will offer support for establishing the plan of care for our residents. Our medical director is the owner of the facility. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of care for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing administration, with a comprehensive understanding of resident rights, Medicare regulations, and the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments. We will offer at least 2 months of training with an experienced RN who be on-site daily to provide guidance for establishing quality assurance, infection control, Responsibilities Oversee all nursing operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices. Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations. Make certain that the rights of residents are consistently respected throughout the facility. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans for residents. Manage budgets related to nursing services and resources effectively. Conduct regular assessments of nursing systems to improve the quality of care. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in nursing practices. Facilitate training programs for staff on topics such as MDS assessments and Medicare guidelines. Experience A valid nursing license with experience in nursing administration. Proven experience in managing teams within the facility. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, staff members, and our physicians.
