Job Summary:
The Nursing Services Manager is responsible for overseeing essential day-to-day nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical care, and supporting both nursing and interdisciplinary team staff. This role partners closely with the Director of Nursing and company leadership to coordinate clinical services, operational workflows, staff training, and compliance with regulatory standards. The Nursing Manager plays a key role in maintaining seamless patient care, promoting staff development, and fostering effective communication across all levels of the organization.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Certified Nursing Assistants Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as an active participant in the preparation and execution of monthly nurses and CNA meetings and events.
- Ensure all new hire kits and nursing supplies are ordered by the Clinical Coordinator and readily available as needed.
- Complete new hire onboarding schedules.
- Participate in the administrative on-call team rotation.
- Provide coverage in the event that the Director of Nursing is out of the office.
- Institute and maintain an effective compliance, quality, and education program, including promoting understanding of new and existing compliance-related policies and procedures.
- Provide direction to the CNA team under the guidance of the Director of Nursing.
- Serve as a resource to the clinical team.
- Mentor, implement, and evaluate training and competencies for nursing staff.
- Complete educational components during onboarding of new staff.
- Support competent nursing practices, documentation, and quality patient care delivery.
- Provide coaching and training to assist in the improvement of employee performance in coordination with the Director of Nursing.
- Facilitate and participate in ongoing educational material development for the nursing and CNA teams.
- Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall management of the respective nursing team (RNs, LPNs, and CNAs).
- Build, foster, and maintain positive relationships with community partners to support patient care initiatives and enhance Minnesota Hospice presence within the community.
- Prepare IDT meeting items, including schedules, sign-in sheets, patient lists, and related materials.
- Provide support and guidance to RNCMs in IDT meetings.
- Participate and serve as scribe in bi-weekly IDT meetings & provide coverage for additional IDT meets as dictated by business need.
- Manage the nursing schedule to ensure appropriate staffing and continuity of patient care.
- Serve as the primary resource for resolving field staffing needs to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of CMS regulations and guidelines of hospice
- Experienced in EMR systems
- Competent in all Microsoft programs
- Outstanding organizational skills
Education and Experience:
- Current Minnesota nursing license
- Minimum of an Bachelors degree in Nursing
- Minimum of two (2) years direct support hospice experience preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year leadership experience and/or training in a nursing environment
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
