Director of Nursing | $5,000 Relocation Bonus | Build Sun River From the Ground Up Sun River Health & Rehab | Great Falls, Montana Full Time Leadership Position Sun River Health & Rehab is opening, and we are hiring a Director of Nursing who wants more than another job managing the status quo. The Role The Director of Nursing will lead all nursing operations and help drive the successful reopening and growth of Sun River Health & Rehab. You will build a high performing nursing department, maintain strong clinical and regulatory standards, support your staff, and ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, resident centered care every day. This is a hands on role for a leader who can create structure, build trust, make sound clinical decisions, and motivate a team through growth and change. What You'll Lead Recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and retention of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nursing support staff. Clinical systems, policies, procedures, and care standards. Survey readiness, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and performance improvement. Admissions, discharges, care planning, MDS oversight, and clinical documentation. Infection prevention, wound care, medication management, resident safety, risk management, and other core clinical programs. Nursing schedules, staffing plans, supply management, and department operations. Strong communication with residents, families, physicians, pharmacy, therapy, hospice, and community care partners. What We're Looking For You are a strong clinical leader with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long term care, or post acute experience. You know how to lead with both high standards and genuine support. You are organized, confident, solutions oriented, and willing to be present where the work happens. Most importantly, you are excited by the idea of building a team and culture that people want to be part of. Required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Montana, or ability to obtain Montana licensure. Strong knowledge of skilled nursing regulations and standards. Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions. Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer systems. Preferred Three or more years of nursing experience. DON, ADON, Nurse Manager, or similar leadership experience. Skilled nursing, long term care, rehabilitation, or post acute care experience. Experience with MDS, care planning, survey readiness, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement. Experience opening, reopening, growing, or stabilizing a healthcare facility. Ready to Lead Something That Matters?
