To qualify, you need an active Registered Nurse license in Montana or a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) multistate license. At least 2 years of recent long-term acute care nursing experience is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is often preferred. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is recommended. Recommended skills include strong critical thinking, adaptability, and effective communication with patients and care teams. Prior travel nursing experience and specialty certification in long-term acute care are valued.
