Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department with passion and strategic insight. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical operations, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, management expertise, and a commitment to education and continuous improvement. As a key member of our leadership team, you will shape the future of nursing services, promote best practices, and uphold regulatory standards to create a safe, compassionate environment for both patients and staff. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance nursing services and operational efficiency. Oversee budgeting processes, resource allocation, and financial management within the nursing department. Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff to promote professional growth, teamwork, and high performance. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and institutional policies. Foster a culture of continuous education by supporting ongoing training programs and teaching initiatives for nursing staff. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve clinical outcomes. Drive quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, implementing best practices, and promoting innovation in patient care delivery.
Requirements Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's in Nursing Administration preferred
Licensure:
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in
North Carolina Experience:
Minimum 5 years nursing experience with at least 2 years in home health or equivalent acute care leadership
Certifications:
Valid BLS certification; IV Therapy Competency Certification required
Training:
Completion of state-approved IV therapy education program (minimum 30 hours)
Skills:
Strong knowledge of NC Nurse Practice Act and 10A NCAC Chapter 13J regulations Proven experience in management within healthcare settings, with a strong background in nursing leadership. Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management. Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation processes, and quality assurance standards. Experience in education administration or teaching within a university or academic environment is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams, foster collaboration, and drive organizational change. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree or higher in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is preferred. Prior experience working within university settings or academic institutions is advantageous. Pay:
$85,661.84 - $120,000.00 per year
