RN — NE or Compact Nursing Compact License (NCL) Accura HealthCare is a person-centered skilled nursing organization built on what they call an "upside-down" philosophy — one that places residents, patients, and direct care employees at the very top of the organizational chart. Guided by a mission of Partners in Care, Family for Life, Accura operates skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care communities across Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Accura HealthCare of O'Neill, an 84-bed skilled nursing facility, is hiring a Director of Nursing to lead its nursing department alongside an experienced, long-tenured, and successful Executive Administrator. This is the clinical and regulatory leadership seat for the building — responsible for the quality of care every resident receives, and for keeping the facility survey-ready and in compliance with state and federal law. You'll guide clinical decision-making, oversee training and effective clinical practices, and set the tone for a quality nursing team — with a DON performance bonus built into the compensation. Why this opportunity A performance bonus built into the role. Compensation includes a DON performance bonus on top of the $100,000-$115,000 base range. Relocation assistance provided. Accura will help fund your move to O'Neill. An experienced Executive Administrator already in place. You're stepping into a leadership team with a long-tenured, successful Administrator — not building the partnership from scratch. An "upside-down" philosophy that backs clinical leaders. Accura's stated organizational model puts residents and direct care staff — including you — at the top of the chart, not the bottom. Full benefits from day one. PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, and more — details below. What you'll do Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the nursing department. Ensure the highest degree of care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organization standards. Maintain a physical, social, and psychological environment that promotes the health and well-being of residents and staff. Proactively anticipate and respond to resident, staff, and community needs. Guide clinical matters and facilitate or oversee training, education, and effective clinical practices. Set and achieve relevant, challenging goals for yourself and your nursing team. Continuously coach, train, and develop a quality nursing team. Participate in the department's on-call coverage, which is 24/7 with no set rotation schedule. What we're looking for Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state, or a Nursing Compact License (NCL). Experience with State and Federal nursing home surveys strongly preferred. Ability to set and achieve relevant, challenging goals for self and team, including continuous coaching, training, and development of a quality nursing team. Capable of performing the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Compensation & benefits $100,000-$115,000 annually, depending on experience, plus a DON performance bonus and relocation assistance. Full-time benefits include PTO and paid holidays; medical, dental, and vision coverage; a flexible spending account; employer-paid life and AD&D insurance; supplemental benefits; Education Tuition Discounts; and 401(k) with company match (available to full-time and part-time staff). Nebraska employees are eligible for sick time regardless of status. Accura HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
