Job Description

The Director of Nursing is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of the residents within the community. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing clinical programs, quality assurance and regulatory compliance, assisting in the recruiting, hiring, and training of clinical team members, clinical staff scheduling and daily timekeeping.

Experience and Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Maintains current license as professional Registered Nurse or LPN per state regulations Experience in assisted living, long term care, or home healthcare industries A minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Nurse/or Licensed Practical Nurse Demonstrates competence in assessment skills, injections, medication administration, follow up, and triage A minimum of one year nursing management experience including hiring staff, coaching performance, discipline and counseling, and daily operations supervision Ability to handle multiple priorities Ability to delegate assignments the appropriate individuals based on their skills Possess written and verbal skills fort effective
Essential Duties:
Hire, train, and develop clinical staff Identifies ongoing needs and services of residents through assessment and service plans Ensures proper follow through and documentation for resident assessments at time of move in; semiannually and at change of status Works with other department directors to identify, review, and discuss potential changes in service Maintains communication with family members Ensures weights and vital signs are obtained monthly for each resident Monitors each resident's medication profiles Acts as liaison between pharmacy to ensure effective services for residents Observes Med Techs to ensure proper medication assistance/administration Reviews physician orders at time of move in Maintains wellness files according to state regulations

$90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
