Job Description

Director of Nursing (DON) Skilled Nursing Facility Experience Required We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Candidates must have prior nurse management experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility , with a proven ability to lead nursing staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional resident care. This is an outstanding opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about quality care, staff development, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing operations within the facility. Ensure the highest standards of resident care, safety, and clinical excellence. Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing managers and nursing staff. Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS and Department of Health requirements. Lead survey preparedness and ensure continued regulatory compliance. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to improve resident outcomes and quality measures. Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement. Qualifications Current RN license in the state of practice.
Required:
Previous nurse management experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey process, and long-term care compliance. Demonstrated leadership, staff development, and team-building skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
