Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Director of Nursing to provide clinical and operational leadership across 7 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities throughout New York State. This role will oversee nursing operations, drive quality and regulatory compliance, and ensure consistent standards of resident care across the entire portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong multi-facility leadership experience, a proven track record in long-term care, and the ability to develop DONs while improving clinical outcomes, staffing, and overall nursing performance. Top 5 Responsibilities Provide strategic nursing leadership across 7 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, ensuring consistent clinical standards and quality of care. Oversee clinical operations and regulatory compliance , including CMS, Medicare, HIPAA, NYSDOH, and survey readiness. Lead and develop facility DONs , holding nursing leadership accountable while mentoring them and driving strong clinical performance. Drive quality improvement and resident outcomes through MDS data, clinical metrics, staffing performance, and best-practice implementation. Oversee staffing, resources, and operational performance across the portfolio while partnering closely with Administrators and interdisciplinary teams. Top 3 Qualifications Strong nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing/long-term care , preferably with multi-facility or regional oversight experience. Proven knowledge of regulatory compliance and survey processes , including CMS, NYSDOH, Medicare, and quality improvement standards. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop DONs and nursing teams while improving clinical outcomes, staffing, compliance, and overall facility performance.
