Registered Nurse Manager Position Summary The RN ADON oversees daily nursing operations within an assigned unit to ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership and management responsibilities — supervising nursing staff, coordinating care plans, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, and supporting a positive, collaborative workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership Oversee and direct all aspects of resident care on the unit. Conduct comprehensive assessments and ensure care plans are developed, implemented, and regularly updated. Monitor clinical outcomes and ensure timely interventions for changes in resident conditions. Ensure compliance with physician orders, treatment protocols, and facility policies. Support nurses and aides in managing complex clinical situations and providing appropriate interventions. Staff Management Supervise, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to promote professional growth. Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet resident care needs. Lead daily huddles and promote open communication among team members. Regulatory Compliance Maintain adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. Prepare for and participate in surveys and inspections. Accurately complete required documentation, including assessments, incident reports, and chart reviews. Quality Assurance Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Identify trends, develop action plans, and follow up on corrective measures. Promote infection prevention and control best practices. Resident and Family Relations Communicate effectively with residents and families, addressing questions and concerns promptly. Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings. Foster a compassionate and respectful environment that upholds residents' dignity and rights.
Qualifications Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience; at least 1 year in a supervisory or charge nurse role preferred.
Certifications:
