Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to help guide our nursing team in providing exceptional care within our assisted living a facility. This position will involve working the floor four (4) days a week with one clinical day in the office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nurse management and acute care, with a comprehensive understanding of medical records and Medicaid regulations. This leadership role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of patient care while ensuring compliance with health standards. Duties Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care is delivered consistently. Manage nursing staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Assist with Med Passes and Direct Resident care on a daily basis. Develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with state regulations and best practices in assisted living and nursing home care. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation for all patient interactions. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create effective treatment plans for residents. Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements as necessary to enhance care quality. Ensure compliance with Medicaid standards and other regulatory requirements. Provide support and guidance to nursing staff regarding shift management and acute care situations. Qualifications Proven experience in nurse management within an assisted living or nursing home setting. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical records management, and Medicare regulations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining compliance standards. Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams while managing multiple priorities. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
