This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional resident care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing administration, extensive experience in long-term care environments, and a passion for fostering a compassionate, patient-centered culture. As a leader, you will inspire and manage a dedicated team of nursing professionals, driving excellence in clinical practices and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing services within the facility, including resident care plans, staffing, and clinical operations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to long-term care facilities, including Medicare and Medicaid requirements. Supervise nurse management staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on high-quality patient care and staff development. Oversee documentation review, medical records management, and adherence to HIPAA privacy standards to protect resident information. Manage shift scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels that meet resident needs while optimizing resource utilization. Lead efforts in regulatory audits, inspections, and accreditation processes to maintain facility certifications and licensing. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that address residents' medical, physiological, and memory care needs. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems effectively for documentation review, patient data management, and reporting. Promote resident rights by ensuring dignity, respect, and personalized care in accordance with long-term care regulations. Drive initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices in nursing management and clinical supervision. Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings with a strong understanding of long-term care regulations and Medicare requirements. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in nursing administration or nurse management roles. Extensive knowledge of MDS (Minimum Data Set), care planning, documentation review, and regulatory compliance procedures. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used in long-term care facilities for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, memory care principles, and patient care best practices. Experience managing teams within home health agencies or hospice care environments is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead clinical teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment. Ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks including HIPAA privacy laws and long-term care facility standards. Management skills that include shift management, resource allocation, staff development, and performance evaluation.
