DON Job Title:
Director of Nursing (DON) - Stereotype Smasher & Clinical Leader Think Leading an LTC Nursing Team is Just Paperwork & Audits? Think Again. Let's be honest: long-term care leadership often gets a bad rap. Most people picture a Director of Nursing trapped in a back office, buried under corporate bureaucracy, drowning in repetitive paperwork, and fighting a toxic culture. Not here. Not at Riverside Health Services. We are a specialized ventilator and high-acuity long-term care community in Arkoma, and we are completely rewriting the script on what LTC looks like. Because our residents rely on specialized respiratory and ventilator care, our floor moves with the clinical depth, energy, and precision of an acute setting—combined with the deep, lasting human bonds that only happen in a true community. We are looking for a Director of Nursing who isn't afraid to do things differently. If you are a strong clinical leader who wants to build a vibrant, supportive, and drama-free environment where nurses actually love to work, you've found your home. Why You'll Love Leading This Team:
High-Level Clinical Depth:
We are a specialized ventilator facility. You won't be managing a typical, low-acuity building—you will lead an advanced, specialized respiratory and nursing team managing trachs, vent settings, and complex clinical care plans.A Culture You Can Build On:
We actively shut down the "nurses eat their young" stereotype. As DON, you will have the autonomy to champion a positive, energetic, and supportive culture where staff feel valued and heard.True Autonomy & Support:
You aren't just a number to us. Our administration is right there with you, providing the resources, training, and backing you need to successfully lead your department.Real Impact:
Watch your team celebrate monumental resident milestones—like weaning off vents, regaining strength, and reclaiming their quality of life. What You'll Be Doing (Your Mission):- Leading the

Maintain a visible, approachable presence on the floor—proving that leadership isn't just about office hours, it's about supporting your people. What We're Looking For:
Active License:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (OK or compact multi-state license).Leadership Experience:
Proven track record as a DON, ADON, or high-acuity Clinical Manager. (Ventilator or high-acuity respiratory experience is highly preferred, but an exceptional leadership style and eagerness to master our care model are a must!)A Culture Creator:
You know how to build morale, reduce burnout, and keep a team laughing and motivated even on busy days.Strategic Thinker:
You possess strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, but you focus on how those regulations protect and empower people, not just boxes to check.Perks & Benefits:
