Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team within a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of assisted living, nursing home operations, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong management skills to oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote high-quality resident care. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for managing nursing staff, developing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records using EMR and EHR systems. A thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations, Medicare requirements, and medical terminology is essential to succeed in this position. Responsibilities Oversee daily nursing operations Supervise and manage nursing staff, including nurse management and shift management to ensure optimal coverage and quality care Develop, review, and update resident care plans in accordance with regulatory standards and individual needs Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare guidelines, and other healthcare regulations Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policies Lead staffing planning and manage scheduling to meet resident needs while maintaining efficient workflow Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care and improve clinical outcomes Utilize EMR/EHR systems for documentation review, data analysis, and reporting purposes Provide leadership in training staff on new procedures, policies, and compliance standards Maintain a thorough understanding of physiology and anatomy to guide clinical decision-making Ensure that all nursing practices align with current healthcare standards and best practices Requirements Proven experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities. Strong background in nursing administration with supervising experience in a management role Knowledge of resident's , MDS processes, care plans, and medical terminology Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical records documentation review Understanding of HIPAA regulations and Medicare requirements for compliance purposes Leadership skills with the ability to manage shift schedules effectively and supervise diverse teams Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, residents, families, and regulatory bodies Physiology and anatomy knowledge to support clinical decision-making Experience with nurse management responsibilities including staffing, training, and performance evaluations Ability to adapt quickly to changing healthcare environments while maintaining high standards of resident care This position offers an opportunity to lead a compassionate team dedicated to providing exceptional care while ensuring operational excellence within our facility.
