Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for the nursing department, aligning clinical practices with organizational goals and industry standards. Oversee staffing, staff supervision, and personnel management to ensure a motivated, competent, and compliant nursing team. Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control while maintaining quality care. Ensure compliance with all state-specific education laws, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards relevant to nursing practice. Lead organizational initiatives related to patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical excellence through data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with executive leadership to shape policies, procedures, and protocols that enhance operational effectiveness and patient outcomes. Foster a positive work environment that promotes professional development, team cohesion, and high morale among staff members. Provide educational leadership by supporting ongoing staff training, professional development programs, and adherence to best practices in nursing education. Skills Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and organizational management within healthcare settings. Strong background in budgeting, financial oversight, and resource management specific to healthcare organizations. In-depth knowledge of state-specific education laws affecting nursing licensure and practice standards. Proven management skills with experience in staff supervision, personnel management in education or healthcare environments. Experience in school or healthcare administrative leadership roles with a focus on academic or clinical instruction. Exceptional leadership capabilities in team management, instructional leadership in education or clinical settings, and executive decision-making. Familiarity with university or higher education experience related to health sciences or nursing programs is advantageous.
