Director of Nursing Michigan | Full-Time | Hybrid/Field-Based Leadership Role Nursing Leadership With Broader Impact We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to provide clinical leadership and nursing oversight across multiple programs in Michigan. This is an opportunity for a strong nursing leader who enjoys developing teams, creating consistency, and partnering with operational leaders to deliver high-quality care. Rather than being focused primarily on bedside nursing, this role provides broader ownership of clinical quality, nursing performance, compliance, and team development across multiple locations. You'll have significant autonomy while remaining connected to the nurses, frontline teams, and individuals you support. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop a team of RNs and LPNs across multiple locations Establish clear expectations and accountability for nursing performance Ensure consistent nursing practices and quality standards across programs Oversee medication management and other complex clinical needs Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities to improve quality of care Ensure nursing documentation and practices meet regulatory and organizational requirements Partner closely with operational and clinical leadership to address concerns proactively Use performance data and clinical trends to guide decision-making Maintain an active presence in programs and stay connected to frontline care Support continuous improvement while maintaining stability and consistency across the nursing function

What We're Looking For Required:

Active RN license At least 2 years of experience directly supervising RNs and/or LPNs Nursing leadership experience within behavioral health, community-based services, or a similar healthcare environment Experience supporting individuals with complex clinical needs Strong understanding of clinical quality, medication management, documentation, and compliance Demonstrated ability to lead and hold teams accountable while maintaining a supportive leadership style Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to independently manage priorities across multiple locations Ability to travel within Michigan as needed

Preferred:

Multi-site or regional nursing leadership experience Experience within behavioral health, IDD, community-based services, or a similar healthcare setting Experience using clinical metrics or KPIs to manage performance Who Will Thrive in This Role?
