The State of Connecticut, Department of Children and Families (DCF) is hiring for a full-time Director of Nursing 2. This position is located in our Central Office, within the Health Management and Oversight (HMO) division. If you have at least three (3) years working in an administrative or supervisory capacity within a healthcare or hospital nursing while as a Registered Nurse, we invite you to explore this opportunity. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS LOCATION
Hartford, CT with a hybrid work schedule
SHIFT:
Full-time | 40 hours per week | first-shift
SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday, with flexibility for weekly operational needs. Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • GENERAL
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in a health care organization and/or facility or hospital nursing.
NOTE:
For state employees, this experience is interpreted at the level of a Supervising Nurse.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing team operations. Documented clinical consultation and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of nursing standards and standards of care. Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Clinical experience in child and adolescent healthcare. Experience with health preventative strategies. Experience with contract oversight.
