Manage staffing schedules across shifts to ensure adequate nurse coverage while optimizing patient care quality and staff workload balance. Supervise nursing management staff, including charge nurses and clinical supervisors, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on excellence. Oversee documentation review processes such as medical records, care plans, MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments, and incident reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of long-term care regulations, Medicare requirements, and industry best practices related to assisted living, memory care, hospice care, home health, and acute care services. Lead efforts in regulatory inspections and audits by state agencies or accrediting bodies to ensure ongoing compliance and readiness. Promote resident rights by advocating for personalized care approaches that respect dignity, autonomy, and preferences. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms effectively for documentation management and reporting purposes. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through staff training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols such as HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards. Qualifications Valid nursing license RN with current registration in good standing. Extensive experience in long-term care facilities or skilled nursing environments; assisted living experience is highly valued. Proven leadership skills with previous nurse management or supervisory experience in nursing administration. Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, Medicare guidelines, MDS processes, and documentation review standards. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used in nursing homes or home health agencies; proficiency in managing medical records electronically. Excellent understanding of resident's rights policies along with comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to elderly or chronically ill populations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple shifts effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, social workers, and administrative staff.
