Position Summary The PDN Administrator directs the business and clinical-operational functions of Sunshine Pediatric Day Center's Private Duty Nursing (PDN) program — skilled, in-home nursing care for medically and technologically dependent pediatric clients delivered under a Texas Home and Community Support Services Agency (HCSSA) license. The Administrator serves as the agency's designated administrator under 26 TAC §558.243 and ensures full, continuous compliance with Texas Health & Safety Code Chapter 142 and 26 TAC Chapter 558. This is an on-site role based at the agency's licensed place of business. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Serve as the agency's designated Administrator under 26 TAC §558.243, holding day-to-day management and administrative responsibility for the PDN program. Ensure ongoing compliance with Texas Health & Safety Code Chapter 142, 26 TAC Chapter 558, and all applicable federal, state, and payer requirements. Oversee client intake, physician plan-of-care authorization, and coordination of skilled private duty nursing for pediatric clients in the home. Direct scheduling, staffing, assignment, and competency validation of RNs and LVNs delivering in-home PDN, including trach/vent, G-tube, and suctioning care. Partner with the Supervising Nurse / Director of Nursing (per 26 TAC §558.244) on clinical oversight, supervisory visits, and plan-of-care compliance. Clinical judgment in pediatric high-acuity and technology-dependent home care Staff supervision, delegation, and coordination of a distributed in-home nursing workforce Family communication and trauma-informed care Operational, budget, and authorization/utilization management Data-driven decision-making and quality improvement Required Qualifications (per 26 TAC §558.244) Active, unencumbered Texas RN license under Texas Occupations Code Chapter 301 (or a multistate/NLC privilege to practice in Texas), with no disciplinary action. At least one (1) year of management or supervisory experience in a health-related setting — such as a HCSSA, hospital, nursing facility, hospice, outpatient rehabilitation center, or comparable licensed health care delivery setting — satisfying 26 TAC §558.244(a)(1)(A). Pediatric clinical experience caring for medically or technologically dependent minors (e.g., tracheostomy, ventilator, G-tube, and suctioning care). Current

certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred). Completion of HHSC initial administrator training under 26 TAC §558.259 within the required timeframe, plus 12 clock hours of continuing education annually under 26 TAC §558.260. On-site availability at the agency's licensed place of business during operating hours.
