We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (RN) for a skilled nursing facility in the Williamsburg, Virginia market. This individual will provide leadership to the nursing department, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain quality standards, and foster a collaborative culture across the clinical team. The ideal candidate is an experienced Director of Nursing who enjoys coaching teams, building accountability, and creating a positive work environment while delivering exceptional resident care. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing services within the facility Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness Partner closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team to achieve operational and clinical goals Mentor, coach, and develop nursing leaders and frontline staff Promote employee engagement and foster a collaborative team culture Monitor staffing, scheduling, and clinical performance metrics Support admissions, resident care planning, and overall clinical operations Maintain high standards for resident care and customer satisfaction Qualifications Active RN license required Previous Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility strongly preferred Demonstrated success leading clinical teams in long-term care Strong knowledge of state and federal skilled nursing regulations Experience preparing for and successfully navigating regulatory surveys Proven leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills Ability to build trust, improve culture, and lead through change Compensation Competitive base salary Sign-On Bonus Work-Life Balance Program providing up to $750 per month during the first 12 months for eligible work-life expenses Comprehensive benefits package This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned nursing leader looking to join a stable organization where leadership is engaged, clinical support is in place, and there is a genuine opportunity to strengthen team culture while continuing to elevate quality outcomes.
