Position Summary:

The RN - Assistant Director of Nursing supports the Director of Nursing in managing the Nursing Services department to deliver high-quality patient care in compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting in planning, developing, and evaluating nursing operations Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating nursing staff Overseeing infection control and patient care Assuming the DON's duties in their absence Providing direct nursing care when required Maintaining professional relationships and confidentiality Ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and regulations Demonstrating excellent customer service and teamwork Participating in emergency procedures and promoting safety

Qualifications and Skills:

ASN or BSN from an accredited institution Active RN license in good standing Preferred geriatric/nursing experience, especially in post-acute care CPR certification (to be maintained during employment) Expert knowledge of nursing practices, laws, and regulations Strong decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to perform physical tasks and work effectively in team settings
