Duties Assist the Director of Nursing in managing daily nursing operations across all shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal staffing levels. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct care providers, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on quality care delivery. Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans for residents, ensuring alignment with medical needs and regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, EEOICPA regulations, HIPAA privacy rules, and other federal/state guidelines governing healthcare facilities. Review medical records, documentation, and clinical notes regularly to maintain accuracy, completeness, and adherence to documentation review protocols. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to manage resident transitions between home health, hospice care, memory care units, and acute care settings as needed. Oversee EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for efficient documentation management and regulatory reporting. Perform in service employee meetings, delegations, supervisory visits Other tasks as assigned Skills Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or long-term care environments with strong knowledge of long-term care regulations. Extensive background in nursing administration with supervising experience in managing care facility teams. Deep understanding of resident's rights, memory care protocols, and specialized patient needs such as those requiring hospice or home health services. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems along with medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy knowledge essential for accurate documentation review. Skilled in shift management, patient care oversight, and managing complex medical records while ensuring regulatory compliance. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with nurse management experience and a track record of fostering high-performing clinical teams. Familiarity with Medicare policies and regulations relevant to long-term care facilities; ability to interpret and implement compliance standards effectively.
