Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to provide clinical leadership and support to skilled for our 90-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. This role partners with Administrators, and clinical teams to improve resident care, maintain regulatory compliance, strengthen nursing operations, and support quality improvement initiatives. Our client is an established and growing long-term care organization that acquired four senior care communities in 2018 and 2019, including two Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and two Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs). The organization is committed to providing exceptional resident care while supporting its clinical leaders with a strong corporate infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management Provide strategic and day‑to‑day leadership for the nursing department, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and ancillary clinical staff. Develop and maintain staffing plans that ensure adequate coverage and high-quality care. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and resident-centered care. Lead daily clinical operations, including morning stand‑ups, care plan meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Clinical Oversight Ensure all nursing care is delivered according to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and evidence‑based standards. Oversee resident assessments, care planning, documentation, and clinical interventions. Monitor clinical outcomes, including falls, pressure injuries, infections, rehospitalizations, and medication management. Implement quality improvement initiatives and corrective action plans as needed. Regulatory Compliance Maintain full compliance with CMS, state regulations, and all applicable standards. Prepare for and lead facility readiness for surveys, audits, and inspections. Respond to survey findings with effective plans of correction and follow‑through. Staff Development & Training Recruit, hire, onboard, and mentor nursing staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, disciplinary action, and recognition. Ensure ongoing staff education, competency validation, and compliance with mandatory training. Resident & Family Engagement Promote a compassionate, respectful, and responsive environment for residents and families. Address concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and trust. Participate in care conferences and communicate changes in condition or care plans. Operational & Administrative Duties Manage nursing department budgets, supplies, and resource allocation. Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reporting. Collaborate closely with the Administrator and other department heads to support facility goals. Qualifications Active RN license in the state of Milwaukee Minimum 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience in long‑term care, SNF, or related setting. Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, MDS processes, and SNF clinical standards. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex clinical operations, and drive quality outcomes. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as a DON or ADON in a skilled nursing facility. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems commonly used in SNFs. Strong background in quality assurance/performance improvement (QAPI).

$95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
