Job Description Position Summary Plans, organizes, and directs programs delivering rehabilitative services. This leadership role is grounded in building strong relationships with therapy staff, residents, and the broader care team - fostering a culture where every individual's unique strengths and perspectives are recognized and valued. Essential Duties Plans and implements overall rehabilitation program policies, procedures, and services. Ensures efficient and effective operations for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech departments. Identifies service opportunities through program planning and facilitates program development. Manages therapy staff in their day-to-day roles, taking time to understand each team member's strengths and supporting their professional growth. Assists staff in assessing the needs of residents and ensures the proper level of care is delivered with compassion and attentiveness. Builds strong, trust-based relationships with residents, families, and staff to achieve high satisfaction with healthcare delivery alongside financial goals. Ensures that project and department milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved budgets. Analyzes data to determine the effectiveness of rehabilitative programs. Interacts with interdisciplinary team members, monitors compliance, manages insurance/billing issues, and coordinates clinical aspects of the rehab program. Works closely with MDS staff to ensure maximum reimbursement. Plans treatment schedules, tracks MDS assessments, and completes monthly billing. Trains and collaborates with therapy and nursing staff to strengthen communication and teamwork, and to ensure a positive experience for facility residents. Champions an inclusive, supportive workplace culture where diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and working styles are welcomed and celebrated among staff.
