Activity Director We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Activity Director to lead engaging, meaningful programs at a vibrant health and rehabilitation center. Activity Director Responsibilities Develop and execute dynamic activity programs that cater to residents' interests, abilities, and care plans, including memory care and dementia-specific activities. Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, and themed activities that encourage participation and foster community spirit. Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, needs, and personal histories to create personalized engagement strategies. Collaborate with caregiving staff, nursing teams, and family members to ensure activities complement medical treatments and support overall care goals. Manage scheduling of daily activities, outings, and special events while maintaining accurate records of participation and resident feedback. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when necessary during programs to promote independence and dignity. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for planning documentation, resident communication logs, and activity reports to ensure seamless program management. Experience Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior care environments. Extensive background working with seniors, including geriatric patients with memory impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. Demonstrated success in program development tailored for long-term care settings or home & community care environments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
