Job Overview We are seeking a highly qualified and dynamic Director of Rehabilitation to lead our rehabilitation services team. As the Director of Rehabilitation, you will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive rehabilitation programs, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and foster a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in patient recovery and functional improvement. Duties Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services across multiple settings, including long-term care facilities and specialized rehabilitation centers. Supervise and support multidisciplinary clinical teams comprising physiotherapists, skilled nurses, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure high-quality patient care. Develop and implement policies aligned with rehabilitation regulations and best practices to maintain compliance and uphold safety standards. Oversee patient rehabilitation programs tailored to individual needs, including those with disabilities or visual impairments, ensuring personalized treatment plans. Manage staffing schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing professional development for team members. Ensure proper manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury during patient transfers and heavy lifting activities. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment outcomes based on physiology and anatomy knowledge. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress while adhering to confidentiality standards and regulatory requirements. Experience Extensive experience in rehabilitation medicine within skilled nursing facilities or rehabilitation centers. Proven leadership in clinical team management with a focus on rehabilitation services. Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation regulations, safety protocols, and best practices in patient care. Hands-on experience with physiotherapy techniques, acute care procedures, and patient rehabilitation strategies. Strong background in physiology and anatomy to inform effective treatment planning. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or visual impairments to support inclusive care approaches. Proficiency in managing heavy lifting activities safely while maintaining compliance with manual handling standards. Long-term care experience combined with familiarity in managing multidisciplinary teams dedicated to patient recovery.
