The primary purpose of this role is managing and supervising the rehabilitation department to meet resident needs, the company's fiscal requirements, and federal and state regulations. Responsibilities for Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) : Achieve specific patient care, employee relations, customer service, and financial objectives through strong leadership and effective management of staff, customers, and referral sources. Oversee the implementation of established therapy plans of care. Management of scheduled treatment days, per the Plan of Care, for patients, on a daily basis. Track admissions and discharges, to ensure appropriate scheduling of evaluating therapists for timely completion of evaluations and discharge summaries. Ensure Therapists complete documentation properly and completely, in a timely manner. Monitor productivity of therapists, labor hours, flextime, and overtime. Qualifications for Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) : Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired specific to discipline.
