Interim Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) - Skilled Nursing Facility We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to provide leadership and operational support to our rehabilitation department within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced rehabilitation leader who can step into an established department, quickly assess needs, support the therapy team, and maintain strong clinical and operational performance while the facility transitions to permanent leadership. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for the rehabilitation team, including PT, OT, SLP, PTA, and COTA staff. Assess current department operations and identify opportunities to improve staffing, productivity, caseload management, clinical programming, and overall performance . Maintain appropriate therapy coverage and assist with scheduling and staffing needs. Support accurate and timely PDPM processes, documentation, reimbursement, and Medicaid CMI initiatives . Collaborate closely with Nursing, MDS, Administration, and other interdisciplinary team members . Monitor clinical, operational, and financial performance metrics and address areas requiring improvement. Support the development and management of rehabilitation programs for short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and higher-acuity residents . Ensure therapy documentation and services meet federal, state, payer, and facility requirements . Provide mentorship, accountability, and support to therapy team members. Help maintain stability and continuity within the rehabilitation department during the leadership transition. Assist with a smooth transition and handoff to the permanent Director of Rehabilitation when appropriate. Qualifications Current Texas license as a PT, OT, SLP, PTA, or COTA . Previous DOR, Rehab Manager, or comparable rehabilitation leadership experience strongly preferred. Strong experience within a SNF/LTC rehabilitation environment . Working knowledge of PDPM, Medicaid CMI, Medicare, managed care, and SNF reimbursement . Ability to quickly assess department needs and implement practical solutions. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and providing hands-on leadership when needed. Why Join Us?
