1. Coordinates the operations of the rehab department 24/7 to meet Patient needs, the budget and federal and state regulations. 2. Coordinates the assignment of rehab admissions and distribution of caseloads to staff therapists and therapy contractors in an appropriate manner. 3. Provides direct patient care on a daily/weekly basis (up to 50% of the day depending on location). Assures that Patients admitted for treatment receive required therapy services and service delivery is documented appropriately. 4. Serves as a case manager for Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Insurance patients or other complex cases to assure that the rehab teams meets rehab targets and MDS responsibilities under PDPM.
