Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Rehabilitation Director to lead our skilled nursing facility's rehabilitation services. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of comprehensive therapy programs, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through effective management of multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and their assistants. Your leadership will foster a culture of excellence in patient care, compliance with rehabilitation regulations, and continuous quality improvement. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all aspects of rehabilitation services within the facility, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and related disciplines. Supervise and support clinical team members, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high standards of patient care and professional development. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with each patient's needs, goals, and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with rehabilitation regulations, safety standards such as basic life support (BLS) and CPR certifications, and facility policies. Manage staffing schedules, resource allocation, and workflow to optimize service delivery while maintaining a positive work environment. Oversee patient rehabilitation processes involving manual handling techniques, heavy lifting protocols, and adaptations for individuals with disabilities or visual impairments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless patient care transitions across acute care settings and long-term care environments. Qualifications Proven experience in rehabilitation medicine within skilled nursing facilities or rehabilitation centers. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and rehabilitation regulations governing long-term care services. Demonstrated leadership in clinical team management with excellent communication skills. Valid certifications in CPR and basic life support (BLS). Hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities or visual impairments; familiarity with physiotherapy practices is essential. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to heavy lifting protocols.
