full time, 8-hour variable shifts.

Duties:

Works under the supervision of the Cardiology Supervisor and Cardiology Director. Performs non-invasive diagnostic cardiac procedures on patients to include: EKG's, Holter Monitoring and Scanning, Cardiac Stress Testing, and complete associated support activities as directed by the Cardiology Supervisor, Cardiology Director, and/or attending Cardiologist. Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills:

1. Performs non-invasive diagnostic cardiac procedures. 2.Process procedure results in MUSE system, charts, logs, etc. 3. Immediately informs the Cardiology Director/Supervisor, and or attending Cardiologist of life-threatening or questionable test results. 4.Assumes active role in the Cardiology Department's Continuous Quality Improvement Program. 5.Enters into computer terminals a variety of updated patient information. 6.Ensures appropriate documentation is maintained and updated. 7.Troubleshoots and performs preventative maintenance of cardiology equipment and accessories. 8. Performs related duties and special assignments/projects. 9.Provides age appropriate care to the patients served by the Cardiology Department. 10. Uses appropriate communication and teamwork skills when working with patients, co-workers, and other hospital staff. 11. Performs other duties as assigned

Education:

Position requires a high school diploma or GED. Completion of 12 Lead ECG course or Medical Assisting program preferred 2.

Licensure:

Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association. 3.

Experience:

•One year experience performing EKG's, Holter Monitors and Treadmills; and/ or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred 4.

Essential Technical/Motor Skills:

Requires sufficient manual dexterity to be able to manipulate computers, EKG, Holter monitor, and Treadmill equipment. 5.

Interpersonal Skills:

Requires excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, public and co•workers. Requires ability to communicate effectively.

$38.00•$42.00 per hour
