Job Description

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks an EKG Technician for their Electrocardiology department responsible for Under appropriate levels of supervision, as required by regulatory agencies, operates Hospital information systems for data entry and retrieval. Performs electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other cardiology related testing.
QUALIFICATIONS
All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.
Education:
Preferred:
A.A. Degree from a 2-year college, or equivalent. Basic and advanced arrhythmia training.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
Minimum:
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
Preferred:
National EKG certification.
Technical Requirements:
Minimum:
Computer keyboard skills.
Preferred:
Ability to scan and interpret holter monitor recordings.
Years of Related Work Experience:
Preferred:
EKG experience or comparable training and experience that provide skills to perform the job tasks competently.
