An EKG Technician assists with specialized tests using an electrocardiogram machine, to monitor the performance of a patient's heart. Works under the direction of a physician or specialist. Explains test procedures to patients, sets up and runs equipment and monitors readings. Provides reports and readings from the test to a physician for analysis.

Job Description

Perform standard and complex EEG recordings on pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population acknowledging age specific requirements. Perform all EEG protocols and recognize abnormal EEG tracings. Elicit historical or physical information or data needed to perform EEG tests and enter EEG charges into the Health Information System.
Requirements:
High School Diploma required. 1-2 years experience in a clinical or healthcare setting or experience in clinical EEG training under the supervision of a neurologist. Ability to work in a fast paced environment including exposure to all patient elements and blood borne pathogens.

Per Diem, Days, per diem 8am-4pm
