Submit your application for the opportunity below: EKG Technician Job Summary and Qualifications Operates an electrocardiograph machine to record 12-lead EKGs, for use in the diagnosis of cardiac disorders and cardiac rhythm disturbances . Assists with Stress Testing and other noninvasive cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing procedures upon the request of the physician and according to departmental demands . Responsible for coordination and facilitation of the daily schedule of Stress Test(s) with Nurse Practitioners, Echo, and Nuclear Medicine. Responsible for attaching Holter and Event Monitors as ordered. Other ancillary duties related to the position may include, but are not limited to, participation in Quality assurance /performance improvement projects related to departmental activities, facilitating maintenance of EKG and stress testing machines, inventory and stocking of supplies in the various locations that testing is performed in, entering patient data and charges daily upon completion of the test, preparing exercise data and related paperwork of physician interpretation and processing. Position involves working weekends and holidays, in rotation with other staff members. Assist with Cardiac inpatient teaching as needed . Other duties as assigned.
