Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology as it pertains to EKG. Enters patient demographic information accurately and ensures a smooth and timely flow of procedures. Assists with clinical instructions and serves as a resource to less experienced employees. Provides service to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development. Maintains patient confidentiality as required by HIPAA. Responds appropriately and in a timely manner to all patient orders. Accurately documents, completes, and charges procedures to ensure quality standards set by the department and hospital. Practices universal body substance isolation and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies. Participates in Performance Improvement projects and proactively initiates process improvement ideas. Communicates appropriately and professionally with floors, physicians, patients, and visitors. Manages time and equipment effectively and works as a team member to provide the best patient care. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs, documents, and reports all procedures accurately in accordance with departmental policy.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in obtaining/evaluating a technically acceptable EKG/ECG.
- Must be able to function independently with little or no supervision and remain calm during stressful or emergent situations.
- Must be able to read, write legibly, and communicate effectively.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Basic Life Support
- CPR Cert (BLS) upon hire with bi-annual renewal required.

Pay Range:
$15.15- $22.
