Explains test procedures to patients, sets up and runs equipment and monitors readings. Provides reports and readings from the test to a physician for analysis.

Responsibilities Assists physicians during cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, electrophysiology, and other miscellaneous procedures by operating the physiologic / hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients. Qualifications Must possess Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART). Must obtain RCIS or RCES within two years of hire date. Minimum of four (4) years recent experience in interventional cardiac cath lab or electrophysiology lab International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certification (Formerly NASPE) or previous electrophysiology experience. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Prior experience with general vascular, coronary angiography, and electrophysiology. Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.
