POSITION SUMMARY
The Graded Exercise Technician attaches patients to electrocardiography machines and/or heart monitors to record electrocardiograms. Technician operates graded exercise stress monitoring equipment in order to provide data to physicians for use in diagnos¬ing and treating heart disorders/disease. In doing so, arranges equipment, gathers pertinent patient information, explains test procedure to patients, attaches leads and operates equipment. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED Equivalent. Prior experience as an EKG Technician, Monitor Technician or EMT. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider
BLS. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EKG certification. Two years on the job experience in EKG interpretation. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
