POSITION SUMMARY
The Mammography Tech III performs all mammography procedures while under the general supervision of a licensed practitioner for the purposes of diagnostic and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders at a technical level not requiring constant supervision and within the scope of their license and according to established standards and practices of the American College of Radiology and Mammography Quality Standards Act. This role will also assist with biopsies, needle localization, stereotactic procedures and ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound System) procedures as required by the facility or is cross trained into CT. QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Associate degree
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
Experience:
- 2 years' experience as a
Mammo Tech Licensure/ Certification:
- Registered in Radiology through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R))
- Registered in Mammography through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(M))
- Radiology License through Illinois Emergency Management Agency(IEMA)
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider)
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
