JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a hands-on Equipment Technician to support maintenance, calibration, and equipment builds for electrical test systems. -. This role operates within a regulated, controlled environment and blends technical assembly work with ongoing calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting support. Day-to-day work is approximately 75% hands-on assembly and equipment builds and 25% calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting, though this ratio can fluctuate based on business needs. Strong documentation skills are essential, including experience writing or supporting test protocols and equipment reports.
Note:
HIPAA experience is not required, as this team does not handle patient data.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform hands-on equipment builds and assembly for electrical test platforms, representing approximately 75% of daily work Perform calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab equipment, representing approximately 25% of daily work (ratio may fluctuate based on business needs) Troubleshoot basic electronic circuits, read schematics, and interpret wiring diagrams Build cable harnesses to specification Write and/or support test protocols and equipment documentation/reports in accordance with regulated environment standards Maintain detailed, accurate, and organized documentation of testing, calibration, and build activities Operate within a regulated or controlled environment, following established procedures and quality standards Communicate effectively with team members in person, via email, and through MS Teams Support continuous improvement and troubleshooting initiatives across lab operations
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
1-3 years of relevant experience Soldering and troubleshooting electrical components (e.g., cables, PCBAs, small benchtop systems) Highly detail-oriented and organized, with good documentation skills Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, OneNote, Outlook, and Teams, or similar platforms Must be a hands-on individual Able to lift at least 25 lbs. from ground level, unassisted Able to work in a cleanroom environment, remain mobile, and examine small text/details Good communication skills, in person, via email, and through
MS Teams Preferred:
Familiar with Semiconductor test systems Familiar with LabView, C++, and/or Java Familiar with SolidWorks, NX, Creo, AutoCAD, or similar Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs
