An EKG Technician assists with specialized tests using an electrocardiogram machine, to monitor the performance of a patient's heart. Works under the direction of a physician or specialist. Explains test procedures to patients, sets up and runs equipment and monitors readings. Provides reports and readings from the test to a physician for analysis.

Job Description
Sign on bonus available: Two years' experience + certification = $20,000 Less than two years' experience + certification, evening shift = $15,000 Less than two years' experience + certification, day shift = $10,000 Non-certification = $5,000 Sign-on bonus eligible for external candidates only. To carry out intraoperative monitoring of EEG during surgical procedures assisting the surgeon in prevention of neurological deficits. To perform routine procedures in the Clinic or hospital EEG laboratories when not in the operating room.
