An EKG Technician assists with specialized tests using an electrocardiogram machine, to monitor the performance of a patient's heart. Works under the direction of a physician or specialist. Explains test procedures to patients, sets up and runs equipment and monitors readings. Provides reports and readings from the test to a physician for analysis.

Job Description

Job Summary :
To provide Electrocardiogram (ECG) services at CaroMont Regional Medical Center and CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont. Responds to code blue and rapid response throughout the facility to perform emergent ECGs. Ability to recognize technically adequate ECG tracing and troubleshoot as needed. Managing and reconciling patient ECG records within MUSE archival system
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. No prior work experience required. Ability to deal tactfully with patients, physicians, and other hospital staff. Must be able to prioritize and have time management skills. BLS required. EOE AA M/F/Vet/Disability
