In this vital role, you will perform specialized neurodiagnostic testing, including electroencephalography, to assist in diagnosing neurological conditions. Your expertise in neurophysiology and patient care will contribute to accurate diagnostic evaluations within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in electrophysiology monitoring and neurological diagnostics, supporting our commitment to exceptional patient outcomes. Responsibilities Prepare patients for EEG procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort and cooperation. Operate and maintain electroencephalography equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality for accurate data collection. Conduct specialized neurodiagnostic tests such as electromyography (EMG), electrophysiology monitoring, and other neurophysiological assessments. Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout testing, implementing aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Interpret initial test results, document findings accurately, and communicate observations to neurologists or medical teams for further evaluation. Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, equipment logs, and patient information in compliance with hospital protocols. Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper use of neurological devices while providing excellent patient care during diagnostic procedures. Requirements Proven experience operating neurodiagnostic equipment such as EEG machines, electromyography devices, and patient monitoring systems. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to neurology and electrophysiology testing. Prior experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with neurocritical care practices and neurological diagnostics within high-acuity environments. Ability to interpret diagnostic test results accurately and communicate findings clearly to medical staff. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to patient monitoring during complex procedures. Certification or training in electroencephalography or neurodiagnostic technology is advantageous; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
